Positive: Looked very good at face value but then I was put in a poorly presented room, not even shown to the room… it’s over there. Things in the room didn’t work. And this was how I was greeted after an almost 40 hour trip, Sydney, San Fran, Miami, Kingston. The duty manager had no interest in my concerns, he remained sitting at the bar,

Positive: I like the location of the property as it is in close proximity to the airport.
Negative: I did not like the room that was given as the view to the room walking in was facing a lot of debris. There is no desk or table in the room just a chair and fridge. the back door is not accessible to the pool area and the door is nailed shut with a gap where small animals can fit in. The TV does not work in the Wi-Fi is completely horrible. I could not even confirm my flight details from the room. I would give this room a two star because it was clean. The breakfast options were very little, and the food was served cold .
Summary: My day felt like I was in a motel rather than a Grand Hotel as the name states.

Positive: Great location near the airport. The bar is where they filmed a scene from doctor no. The whole place clearly was a great hotel but hasn’t had much of an update in years. Still a decent stop for 1 night by the airport.

Positive: Breakfast was good, it was a little cold but good. Love that we could sit right on the sea side.
Negative: The bathtub in the room was rusting, there was no phone in the room to communicate with front desk. We had to ask for the Wi-Fi password, the orientation of the room was a little awkward with the tv being so far away from the bed. We had to ask for blankets. If possible could there be a Jamaican price list, I find it to be quite unfair having to pay in USD when I’m a Jamaican citizen who works JMD.
